Book a premium 10-Day Golden Triangle and Rishikesh Tour. Experience the Taj Mahal at sunrise, Jaipur's palaces, and private guided spiritual retreats in Rishikesh

Journey Through India's Golden Triangle & Sacred River

This 10-day tour is designed for travelers seeking a well-rounded India experience that goes beyond the usual sightseeing circuit. The Golden Triangle — Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur  forms the backbone of the journey, while Rishikesh and the Ganges add a layer of spiritual richness that makes this itinerary truly distinctive.

You will explore Mughal masterpieces such as the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort; wander through the Rajput grandeur of Jaipur's City Palace and Amber Fort; and discover the often-overlooked architectural gem of Abhaneri's Chand Baori stepwell. In Rishikesh, mornings by the Ganges, yoga sessions, and the iconic Laxman Jhula suspension bridge offer a peaceful counterpoint to the historical sights.

Experience Delhi — Ancient Meets Modern

Delhi serves as both the starting and ending point of this tour. With two dedicated days in the city, you have the opportunity to explore both Old Delhi's labyrinthine lanes, Jama Masjid, and Chandni Chowk; and New Delhi's wide boulevards, Humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar, and India Gate. Delhi's contrasts — ancient and contemporary, chaotic and ceremonial — set the tone for the journey ahead.

Seek Spirituality in Rishikesh on the Ganges

Rishikesh sits where the Ganges descends from the Himalayas, and the town has drawn seekers, pilgrims, and travelers for centuries. Two nights here allow you to attend the moving Ganga Aarti ceremony at dusk, explore ashrams, try yoga or meditation, and simply sit by one of the world's most sacred rivers. This is one of the most serene and memorable parts of the entire journey.

Marvel at Agra & the Taj Mahal

No visit to North India is complete without standing before the Taj Mahal. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, this 17th-century white marble mausoleum is among the greatest architectural achievements in human history. Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, adds further depth to your time in the city with its imposing red sandstone walls and palaces within.

Discover the Pink City — Jaipur

Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, enchants visitors with its terracotta-pink buildings, vibrant bazaars, and magnificent palaces. The Amber Fort perched on a hillside, the ornate Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), and the City Palace complex are all highlights. En route from Agra, the ghost town of Fatehpur Sikri and the ancient Chand Baori stepwell at Abhaneri offer fascinating detours through layers of Indian history.

Arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. You will be met by our representative and transferred in a private air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel. After a warm welcome, check in and take the rest of the day to settle in. Depending on your arrival time, you may take a short orientation walk around your hotel neighbourhood to get your first feel of Delhi.

End of day: Overnight in Delhi.

Day 2: Delhi — Full Day Sightseeing

Highlights: Old Delhi, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar, India Gate

Spend a full day exploring both Old and New Delhi with your professional English-speaking guide. Begin in the lanes of Old Delhi — visit the grand Jama Masjid, one of India's largest mosques, and walk or take a cycle rickshaw through the bustling spice and silver markets of Chandni Chowk. In the afternoon, transition to New Delhi's wide avenues and visit the 16th-century Humayun's Tomb (a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an architectural precursor to the Taj Mahal), the towering Qutub Minar complex, and pass by India Gate and the ceremonial boulevards of Lutyens' Delhi.

End of day: Overnight in Delhi.

Day 3: Delhi to Rishikesh

Highlights: Drive to Rishikesh, Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Ganga Aarti at dusk

After breakfast, begin your drive north toward the Himalayas (approximately 5–6 hours). As you leave the plains behind, the landscape transforms into hills and forests. Arrive in Rishikesh by early afternoon. Settle into your hotel on the Ganges, then head out to explore the iconic suspension bridges — Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula — that span the sacred river, and wander through the ashrams and small temples lining the riverbanks. In the evening, attend the mesmerising Ganga Aarti ceremony at Triveni Ghat, where priests perform a fire ritual to honour the river at sunset — one of India's most atmospheric experiences.

End of day: Overnight in Rishikesh.

Day 4: Rishikesh — A Day by the Ganges

Highlights: Yoga or meditation session, Ganges riverside, ashram visit, Beatles Ashram (optional)

Dedicate this day entirely to Rishikesh. Wake up early to experience the tranquil morning light on the Ganges and take a boat ride on the river. Participate in a morning yoga or meditation session at one of Rishikesh's renowned ashrams — this is optional and can be arranged based on your interest. Visit the famous Chaurasi Kutia (Beatles Ashram), where the Beatles famously stayed in 1968 and where parts of their White Album were written. Spend the afternoon exploring local markets, trying fresh mountain food, and absorbing the spiritual energy of this remarkable town.

End of day: Overnight in Rishikesh.

Day 5: Rishikesh to Agra

Highlights: Drive to Agra, en route stop optional, arrival and check-in

After an early breakfast, depart Rishikesh for Agra (approximately 7–8 hours by road). The drive takes you back through the plains of northern India. This is a travel day; settle comfortably in your vehicle and enjoy the changing landscapes. Arrive in Agra by evening and check into your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may opt for a brief walk near Mehtab Bagh for a first glimpse of the Taj Mahal's silhouette across the Yamuna River at dusk.

End of day: Overnight in Agra.

Day 6: Agra — Taj Mahal & Agra Fort

Highlights: Taj Mahal at sunrise, Agra Fort (UNESCO), local marble craft workshops

Rise before dawn for the iconic Taj Mahal sunrise visit — the best time to see the monument with soft golden light and fewer crowds. Your guide will share the story of Emperor Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal, whose love story gave rise to this extraordinary 17th-century marble mausoleum. After breakfast, visit Agra Fort — a massive red sandstone fortification and UNESCO World Heritage Site — which served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors. In the afternoon, visit a local marble inlay workshop to see artisans practising the same pietra dura technique used in the Taj Mahal's decorative panels.

End of day: Overnight in Agra.

Day 7: Agra — Fatehpur Sikri — Abhaneri — Jaipur

Highlights: Fatehpur Sikri (UNESCO), Chand Baori Stepwell at Abhaneri, arrive Jaipur

Depart after breakfast toward Jaipur with two memorable stops en route. First, visit Fatehpur Sikri — the perfectly preserved ghost city built by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century and abandoned shortly after due to water scarcity. Wander through the Diwan-i-Khas, Jodha Bai's Palace, and the Buland Darwaza (Gate of Victory). Continue to Abhaneri to see the remarkable Chand Baori, one of the largest and deepest stepwells in India with 3,500 narrow steps arranged in geometric perfection — a striking example of ancient water management and architecture. Arrive in Jaipur by evening.

End of day: Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 8: Jaipur — The Pink City

Highlights: Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, local bazaars

Spend a full day exploring the Pink City with your guide. Begin with the majestic Amber Fort — a stunning hilltop palace complex of Rajput architecture with intricate mirror-work halls and sweeping views over the valley. Back in the city, visit the ornate five-storey Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), built to allow royal ladies to observe street life unseen, and the City Palace complex, which houses a museum showcasing the royal legacy of Jaipur. Jantar Mantar, an 18th-century astronomical observatory and UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a fascinating stop for its giant stone instruments. In the afternoon, wander through the vibrant bazaars of Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar, known for textiles, gems, and traditional Rajasthani handicrafts.

End of day: Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 9: Jaipur to Delhi

Highlights: Morning at leisure, drive to Delhi, optional evening at leisure in Delhi

After breakfast, spend the morning at your leisure in Jaipur — perhaps a final stroll through the markets or a visit to a textile block-printing workshop. After checkout, your driver will take you back to Delhi (approximately 4.5–5 hours). Arrive in Delhi by early afternoon. The evening is free for last-minute shopping at Connaught Place or Dilli Haat, a relaxed dinner, or simply to rest before your onward journey.

End of day: Overnight in Delhi.

Day 10: Delhi — Departure

Highlights: Transfer to airport, departure

After breakfast, check out of your hotel. Depending on your flight time, you may have a few hours for any final sightseeing or shopping.
