Day 2: Delhi to Chandigarh

After breakfast, depart Delhi by private vehicle for Chandigarh (approximately 5 hours). Chandigarh, India's first planned city designed by Le Corbusier, serves as the gateway to Himachal Pradesh. Visit the famous Rock Garden - a sprawling outdoor sculpture garden built from industrial and urban waste - and the tranquil Sukhna Lake. Overnight in Chandigarh.
Day 3: Chandigarh to Rewalsar
Highlights: Sacred Rewalsar Lake, floating islands, monasteries
Drive from Chandigarh to Rewalsar, a small town near Mandi (approximately 4–5 hours). Rewalsar Lake is one of the most spiritually significant sites in Himachal Pradesh, revered by Hindus, Buddhists, and Sikhs alike. Explore the remarkable floating reed islands on the lake - a natural phenomenon considered sacred. Visit the Buddhist monasteries, Hindu temples, and the Gurudwara on the lakefront. Day 4: Rewalsar to Tirthan Valley

Continue driving to Tirthan Valley (approximately 3 hours), a pristine valley on the edge of the Great Himalayan National Park - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check in to a riverside guesthouse and spend the afternoon walking along the Tirthan River, which is famous for its wild trout. Explore the forest trails and experience the simplicity and beauty of village life in the valley. Overnight in Tirthan Valley.
Day 5: Tirthan Valley to Manali
Highlights: Scenic mountain drive, Kullu Valley, arrival in Manali
After breakfast, drive from Tirthan Valley through the Kullu Valley to Manali (approximately 3–4 hours). The journey itself is scenic, passing through apple orchards, terraced fields, and the Beas River corridor. Arrive in Manali and check in to your hotel. Spend the evening exploring Mall Road or the Old Manali village lanes. Overnight in Manali.
Day 6: Manali - Local Exploration
Highlights: Hadimba Temple, Old Manali, Solang Valley, Vashisht hot springs
A full day to explore Manali and its surroundings. Visit the ancient Hadimba Devi Temple, set within a cedar forest and one of the most important temples in Himachal Pradesh. Explore the lanes of Old Manali and the Vashisht village, known for its natural sulphur hot springs and old stone temples. In the afternoon, drive to Solang Valley for sweeping views of snow peaks and the Beas Kund glacier. Overnight in Manali.
Day 7: Manali to Kasol
Highlights: Parvati Valley, Kasol village, riverside setting
Drive from Manali to Kasol in Parvati Valley (approximately 4–5 hours). Kasol is a small riverside village set alongside the Parvati River and surrounded by dense pine and deodar forests. It is the base for exploring the Parvati Valley and onward treks. In the evening, walk along the riverbank and explore the village. Overnight in Kasol.
Day 8: Kasol to Prashar Lake
Highlights: Prashar Lake at 2,730 m, medieval pagoda temple, panoramic Himalayan views
Depart Kasol and drive toward Prashar Lake near Mandi (approximately 5 hours). The final stretch involves a drive up a mountain road followed by a moderate trek of approximately 7 km through forests and alpine meadows. Prashar Lake is a glacial lake at 2,730 metres altitude, famous for its floating island and the adjacent three-storied pagoda temple dedicated to the sage Prashar. The views of the Dhauladhar, Pir Panjal, and Kinnaur ranges are extraordinary. Camp or stay in a local guesthouse overnight at Prashar Lake.
Day 9: Prashar Lake to Barot Valley
Highlights: Barot Valley, Uhl River, Nargu Wildlife Sanctuary
Descend from Prashar Lake and drive to Barot Valley (approximately 3–4 hours from the lake base). Barot is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt valleys in Himachal Pradesh, sitting at around 1,800 metres and surrounded by the forests of the Nargu Wildlife Sanctuary. The Uhl River runs through it, offering excellent trout fishing. Walk through the quiet village, explore the forest paths, and absorb the extraordinary stillness of this hidden destination. Overnight in Barot Valley.
Day 10: Barot Valley to Dharamsala
Highlights: Drive through Kangra Valley, arrival in Dharamsala / McLeod Ganj
After a morning walk in Barot, drive to Dharamsala (approximately 4–5 hours). Dharamsala is the seat of the Tibetan government-in-exile and home to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. The upper town, McLeod Ganj, is a vibrant hub of Tibetan culture, spirituality, and mountain life. Check in to your hotel and take a gentle evening walk through the market lanes of McLeod Ganj. Overnight in Dharamsala.
Day 11: Dharamsala - Full Day
Highlights: Namgyal Monastery, Tsuglagkhang complex, Tibetan Museum, Bhagsu waterfall
A full day to explore Dharamsala and McLeod Ganj. Visit the Tsuglagkhang complex - the central temple of Tibetan Buddhism in India - and the Namgyal Monastery, the personal monastery of the Dalai Lama. Walk to the Tibetan Museum to understand the history of Tibet and the exile community. In the afternoon, visit the Bhagsu waterfall and the ancient Bhagsunath temple. Enjoy a Tibetan meal in the evening. Overnight in Dharamsala.
Day 12: Dharamsala to Shimla
Highlights: Scenic drive through Himachal, arrival in Shimla
Drive from Dharamsala to Shimla (approximately 5–6 hours), passing through the Kangra and Bilaspur regions of Himachal Pradesh. The road journey offers varied mountain scenery. Arrive in Shimla - the state capital and former summer capital of British India - and check in to your hotel. Evening walk on The Ridge and Mall Road. Overnight in Shimla.
Day 13: Shimla - Local Exploration
Highlights: Mall Road, Jakhu Temple, Christ Church, colonial architecture, Kufri
Full day in Shimla. Begin with a visit to the Jakhu Temple - a celebrated Hanuman shrine atop the highest peak in Shimla, offering panoramic views of the surrounding ranges. Explore the colonial-era architecture of The Ridge, Christ Church, and the Viceregal Lodge (Rashtrapati Nivas). In the afternoon, visit Kufri for views of the greater Himalayan peaks. Overnight in Shimla.
Day 14: Shimla to Delhi
Highlights: Drive/train to Delhi, final evening in the capital
After breakfast, depart Shimla for Delhi by private vehicle or the Kalka–Shimla toy train followed by onward transfer (total journey approximately 7–8 hours). Arrive in Delhi in the evening. Check in to your hotel and enjoy a final dinner at a restaurant of your choice. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 15: Delhi - Departure

After breakfast, enjoy any remaining time in Delhi for last-minute shopping or sightseeing.
